Celebrating World Radio Day 2014 on Sourcefabric Radio

Celebrating World Radio Day 2014 on Source
Celebrating World Radio Day 2014 on Source

Every year on February 13, Sourcefabric celebrates World Radio Day. The annual event seeks to improve international cooperation between broadcasters, and encourage major networks and community radio alike to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves.

This year Sourcefabric is planning something extra special. Aside from getting together at live events to share our love of radio, we are dedicating 24 hours of Sourcefabric Radio to #WRD2014, with special programming from the Airtime community.

We have the opportunity to work closely with these diverse groups sharing tips about how to better Airtime's functionality all year round. But for World Radio Day we wanted to celebrate with them and share the amazing programming of these stations in a 24 hour marathon on Sourcefabric radio. We've put together a schedule so you know when to tune in throughout the day. But we'd also like to take the opportunity to share a bit more about each of them.
